The Les Gones have secured the signature of the 20-year-old talented midfielder of Ghanaian heritage from the Danish outfit in this ongoing January transfer window

French Ligue 1 heavyweights Olympique Lyonnais have announced the signing of Danish-born Ghana-target Noah Nartey from Danish Superliga club Brøndby IF on a four-and-a-half-year contract.

The ever-green attacking midfielder is joining the Parc Olympique Lyonnais campaigners after passing his mandatory medical examinations early today following his long-term pursuit by them over the past transfer windows.

An official confirmation over the capturing of the youngster reads on the club's official website: ''The Danish international prospect has signed a five-year contract, running until June 30, 2030, as part of a €7.5 million transfer, with bonuses of up to €2.5 million and a 20% share of any future transfer fee.

''At 20 years of age, Noah Nartey has established himself as one of the most promising young talents in the Danish league. Trained at Brondby, he quickly joined the first team and has played more than 70 professional matches (12 goals) in all competitions since the 2023/24 season, demonstrating his maturity, technical quality, and versatility in midfield.

''The arrival of Noah Nartey is fully in line with Olympique Lyonnais' strategy, which aims to build on players with high potential who are integrated into the club's long-term plans.''

Nartey netted 7 times and assisted 3 in 25 games across all competitions for Brøndby IF in this current 2025/26 football season before sealing his transfer switch to Lyon this winter.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, he still remains eligible to switch international allegiance by representing Ghana on the international stage despite featuring for the Denmark national youth teams.
