The English second-tier outfit have announced the loan signing of the 21-year-old promising winger from the top-tier campaigners until the end of the season

Ghana international winger Ibrahim Osman has joined Championship side Birmingham City from Premier League club Brighton on a six-month loan contract, the club have confirmed.

The former Feyenoord Rotterdam loanee, who spent the first half of the season with French Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre, is set to spend the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign with the Blues subject to clearance from the FA.

An official statement over the loan move of the ex-FC Nordsjaelland man reads on the club's official website: ''The 21-year-old arrives from Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion having spent the first half of the campaign with Auxerre in Ligue 1. The Ghanaian-born winger will strengthen Chris Davies’ options in attack and is known for his pace, athleticism and direct style of play.

''He becomes Blues’ third addition of the January transfer window, following the arrivals of Kai Wagner and Jhon Solis. Osman began his career in his native Ghana before moving to Danish side Nordsjælland in 2023, and it was the 2023-24 season where he had a big impact as the winger registered ten goals and nine assists in 44 games across all competitions.

''His performances drew attention from clubs across Europe, with Brighton & Hove Albion swooping to sign Osman on a permanent deal before he was loaned to Feyenoord ahead the 2024-25 season.During his time at the Eredivisie side, he had six goals involvements in 22 league games, as well as making seven appearances in the UEFA Champions League before spending the first half of the 2025-26 season in France with Auxerre.''

lt's understood that the talent of the Right to Dream academy graduate is still being revered at the Falmer Stadium, hence the decision to move him on to his current suitors so as to gain much experience as an upcoming youngster having been snapped up on a four-and-a-half-year contract from the Danish outfit in the summer of 2024.

Before sealing his transfer switch this winter, Osman featured in 15 games for AJ Auxerre across all competitions in this current football season.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup looming, the 3-time capped Ghana international wideman will now be eager to regain his top-form with his current suitors as he hopes to make it to the global football event in June this year.
