The Romanian second-tier side have landed the signature of the former Sassuolo midfield enforcer ahead of the upcoming football season

Liga ll club CSM Slatina have announced the signing of experienced Ghanaian defensive midfielder Raman Chibsah on a one-year deal in this ongoing summer transfer window.

The 32-year-old is joining The White and Blues on a free transfer after leaving fellow league rivals Ceahlăul at the end of the recently concluded campaign.

An official statement over the capturing of the former VFL Bochum enforcer read via the club's Facebook Account: ''Raman Chibsah, footballer with 94 games in Serie A (Italy), our new midfielder. Midfielder Raman Chibsah (33 years old), footballer who has played 94 matches in Serie A (Italy), 80 in Serie B (Italy), 24 in Super Lig (Turkey), 16 in Super League 1 (Greece), but also 10 appearances in Bundesliga 2 (Germany), is the new player of the CSM Slatina team. Originally from Ghana, Raman also has Italian citizenship. He played in Italy at Sassuolo, in the youth and junior teams, after which he was transferred to Juventus Torino U19.''

''Throughout his career, Chibsah has worn the jerseys of several senior teams such as Parma, Sassuolo, Frosinone and Benevento. He also played in Turkey, at Gaziantep, then made the step to Germany, at VFL Bochum. Later, he played in Greece, at Apollon Smyrnis and Ionikos Nikeas. Before "arriving in Romania, at Ceahlăul Piatra Neamţ, he played in Italy, at Catarese. Welcome, Raman Chibsah!"

The signing of Chibsah will be a great addition to their cause for the 2025-26 season given his vast experience in football contests across Europe following spells with Sassulo, Parma, Frosinone, Benevento, Gaziantep FK and VfL Bochum in his footballing career so far.

He currently boasts of 2 caps with the Ghana Senior Men's National Team, the Black Stars at the international level.
