Moldovan heavyweights FC Sheriff Tiraspol have announced the signing of Ghana U-20 defender Nana Kwame Boakye from Berekum City FC in the ongoing summer transfer window
The 18-year-old prodigy is joining the Yellow-Blacks on a season long loan with an option for a permanent stay which will strictly be based on his performance for the club in the upcoming season.
Official club statement reads;
"Ghanaian defender Nana Kwame Boakye has become a full-fledged player of FC Sheriff. Kwame may make his debut for the team in today's match. The FC Sheriff team is glad to welcome Kwame and wishes him good lick in the jersey of our club," wrote the club, announcing the defender's arrival.
The young sensation is expected to come into the squad on a higher note and with a great impact as he personally hopes to establish himself among the favourites at the Sheriff Arena.
Nana Kwame Boakye is most likely to mark his debut later today against Azerbaijani side Zira FC in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round.
He was an integral member of the Black Satellites squad that achieved the host and win in the 13th African Games that was held in March.
