The Ghana-prospect stopper had this to say right after inking his deal with his new employers via the club's official website: ''I'm really looking forward to the new challenge. The club has ambitious and ambitious goals that align with mine. I'm also really looking forward to the home games and the support of the fans. Together, we will hopefully celebrate many successes.''

Sporting director Christopher Schorch added to his communications network after capturing Mensah ahead of the start of the new football season: ''With Jeff, we're gaining a very robust central defender who has great speed, is very strong in duels, and can play at a high level. I've been interested in him since the first day I saw him and was keen to bring him to us. I'm all the more pleased that Jeff has now chosen us and wants to develop further with us."

He was involved in 26 games for SF Lotte in the Regional League West 24/25 campaign this term.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Hamburg-born defender remains fit to play for Ghana at the international level as he is yet to be cap-tied by the Germany national team.
