The former Borussia Dortmund U19 star of Ghanaian heritage has sealed his move to the German fourth tier club in this winter transfer window

German-born Ghanaian defender Lloyd-Addo Kuffour has joined Regionalliga Nordost side Berliner FC Dynamo on a six-month deal, the club have announced.

The 23-year-old left-back, who joined Austrian 2. Liga side SKU Amstetten on a one-year contract on a free transfer in the summer of 2025, is joining the Die Weinroten on a free transfer after severing ties with the Austrian outfit as he is set to stage a return to the German lowly division contest for the rest of the ongoing football season.

A statement confirming the capturing of the ex-Hanover 96 youth star reads on the club's media channel: ''Following the signing of Kevin Lebersorger (20) from LASK Linz, BFC Dynamo welcomes Lloyd-Addo Kuffour (23) as another new addition to its ranks. The former youth international received his footballing education at Hannover 96 and Borussia Dortmund and was most recently under contract with SKU Amstetten (Austrian Second Division). The new signing is a versatile player on the left wing and can be deployed in both defense and midfield. The Regionalliga Nordost (fourth tier) is familiar territory for him, having made a total of 71 appearances for FSV Optik Rathenow and FSV Zwickau. Welcome to the Sportforum!''

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Hanover-born left-back remains fit to represent Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Germany U15 & U16 national youth teams.
