After spending the 2024-25 campaign at Dutch Eredivisie side VVV-Venlo, the Ghana-prospect winger has now been moved on by his employers on a permanent basis ahead of the new football season.
''The versatile left-back joins on a four year deal from Bundesliga 2 side FC Schalke 04 for an undisclosed fee and subject to international clearance and VISA formalities. 20-year-old Emmanuel arrives at Pittodrie after progressing through the esteemed FC Schalke 04 academy where he was highly regarded as one of their brightest prospects,'' an official statement read.
Gyamfi said he is really happy about his move to the Sottish outfit as he readies himself for the task ahead, telling the club's official website: ''I’m really happy to be here and so are my family, so I am ready to go. Now that everything is sorted, I can focus on pre-season, and I am going to work hard before training starts.''
“I will give my best to help the team. I want to show the fans what I can do as this is a good club, and we all want to achieve even more than last season.''
“It was nice to see all the fan celebrations after winning the cup. It motivates me to want to do it again as you can see how much they love Aberdeen.''
“Obviously it’s a dream to play in Europe, on that stage. It can be challenging but we are going to be ready as a team after a strong pre-season.”
He was involved in 31 games for VVV-Venlo across all competitions during his season-long loan spell in the just ended campaign.
Given his heritage, the Hemer-born youngster still remains eligible to switch allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level as he's yet to be capped by the German senior national team.
