Ghanaian international, Salis Abdul Samed after an impressive debut season has extended his contract with RC Lens to fend off interest from other clubs.

The 23 year old signed for the French Ligue 1 outfit on a three year deal in the summer of last year and after just a season into that, he's already signed another three years extension which keeps him at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis until 2028.

The mercurial midfielder has been an integral figure of the team since his arrival and has now established himself as a mainstay and one of the fans favourite in the club.

In the just ended season, he made 35 appearances in all competitions with a goal and assist to his belt marking a very great first season for him at Lens.

The Gold and Bloods finished second on the French Ligue 1 table with just points behind eventual champions PSG and will play in the UEFA Champions League next season.

His extension means he's been tied down this time as RC Lens wouldn't have to worry on any chance of him leaving the club anytime soon despite catching the eyes of several European clubs.

Salis Abdul Samed has been included in the Black Stars squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers against Madagascar.
