The Ghana U-20 trialist has joined the Swedish Third Division side on a loan basis with the deal to be made permanent if he lives up to his billings at the end of the season
Swedish Ettan Fotboll side Hammarby Talang FF have secured the loan services of Ghanaian teenager Nicholas Ablido from Ghanaian-based ProGen Academy.
The loan deal between both clubs contains a permanent purchase option at the end of the 2023/24 football season as per the Swedish third-tier league campaigners.
Announcing the completion of the deal, the Hammarby IP Stadium outfit have said "we are curious if we can refine into a future permanent transfer" judging from their eagerness to land him on a permanent basis given his talent as a budding prospect.
" Now it is clear that HTFF is strengthening the squad further through a loan agreement with 18-year-old Nicholas Ablido that extends to the end of the year," a statement confirming his signing read.
Sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg added this to his club Official Website right after capturing the 18-year-old midfielder: "Nicholas is a hard-working central midfielder who has been scouted locally in Ghana and who has qualities we are curious if we can refine into a future permanent transfer. HTFF is an excellent environment for Nicholas at this stage."
Nicolas was part of the influx players that failed to make the cut for the 2023 WAFU Zone B Boys tournament in Ivory Coast this year.
