The former Ghana U-17 star has completed his switch to the Danish second-tier outfit in this ongoing winter transfer window
Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed lddriss has joined newly-promoted Danish 1. Division side FC Roskilde, the club have confirmed.
The 24-year-old is joining the Roskilde Idrætspark campaigners on a free transfer following the expiration of his deal with lower division side B1913 Odense this term.
An official confirmation over the signing of the Cheetah FC product read: "We are pleased to present the second addition to the squad this winter. 24-year-old Mohammed 'Tampico' Iddriss, who has previously represented the youth national teams in Ghana, has signed a deal with FC Roskilde."
"Ghanaian Iddriss, who primarily plays in central midfield, has previously played for Portuguese Moreirense and Norwegian Moss, among others."
The former Ghana U-17 youth man had this to say right after putting pen to papper on his deal, telling the club's official website: "FC Roskilde is a beautiful club. I am really happy that I have been given the opportunity to do my best and help the club. I am a creative midfielder who works hard both offensively and defensively. I am sure that Roskilde is the right step for my development and that together we can become even better. I can't wait to get started,”
Sporting director Anders Theil added: "Iddriss is an exciting player who we believe has something unfulfilled in him. He was part of a really talented class from Ghana that made a name for itself during the 2018 Youth World Cup. Not everyone hits the right note after such success, but there is no doubt about Iddriss' skills. He covers the midfield, is good at being right-handed and playing forward - a technically skilled player who is also really hard-working. He has a lot of meters and it is always good to have players who are left-footed, as he can also cover a left wingback. We are very much looking forward to following him in the coming time."
'Tampico' as affectionately called by fans is yet to earn his cap with the Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars having featured in 7 games at the national U-17 level.
