Ghanaian teenage sensation Ziyad Salifu has joined Allsvenskan side Degerfors lF on a three-year contract, the club have confirmed.
The promising budding star, who was groomed at Ghanaian side Diamond Seed Sporting Club, joins the Stora Valla Stadium campaigners after passing his mandatory medical examination earlier today.
An excerpt of an official confirmation over his signing read: "Degerfors IF signs 18-year-old Ziyad Salifu. The Ghanaian wingback and the club have agreed on a contract that extends through 2028."
Assistant sporting director Sean Sabetkar commented on the Ghanaian prospect right after landing him ahead of the new football season, telling his club's official website: "We are very happy to welcome such an exciting player to the club. Ziyad has been on our radar since last fall, and we are proud that he sees our club as an important step in his continued career and development. As a player, he stands out through his speed and his strengths in the offensive, and we look forward to following his journey with us."
Salifu is expected to team up with his team-mates on Monday in order to begin life with them for the 2025 Allsvenskan campaign.
