The promising forward has completed his loan switch to the Romanian Second-Tier outfit until the end of the current football campaign

Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Mensah has joined Romanian Liga 2 side FC Arges on a season-long loan deal from top division side CFR Cluj, the club have confirmed.

The 20-year-old, who linked up with the Cluj-based club from Ghanaian outfit Young Apostles FC in 2023, has been shipped out to the lower division side in order to gain much experience and game time in the Romanian football contests as a budding star.

An excerpt of a statement over his loan deal read via the club's official website: ''Emmanuel Mensah wears the white-violet jersey today. The 20-year-old Ghanaian striker comes on loan from CFR Cluj. He was born on July 10, 2004, in Ghana.  He is an offensive player, and his main foot is the right. Mensah is described as a "more technical Otele. The Ghanaian gives better performance in the lane due to the technique he has. His idol is Ghanaian Asamoah Gyan.''

Mensah is yet to taste top-flight football competition with CFR Cluj since being drafted into the first-team by manager Dan Petrescu following his five-star performances with the U-19 youth side.

He is yet to earn his international cap with the Ghana men's senior national team, the Black Stars.
