The Gelsenkirchen outfit have announced the capturing of the Ghanaian forward in this current transfer window
Ghana international striker Christopher Antwi-Adjei has joined Bundesliga 2 side FC Schalke O4 on a two-year deal, the club have confirmed.
The 30-year-old joins the Veltins-Arena campaigners on a free transfer after parting ways with top-flight outfit VfL Bochum this summer.
"FC Schalke 04 have signed Christopher Antwi-Adjei. The 30-year-old joins from Bundesliga side VfL Bochum and has put pen to paper on a contract until 30th June 2026. He will wear the number 18 shirt for the Royal Blues," an official confirmation over his deal read.
The former SC Paderborn 07 frontman had this to say right after putting pen to paper on the deal: "I’m proud to be able to represent the Royal Blues on the pitch in future,” said Antwi-Adjei. “The club’s management team laid out a clear plan of how I will be able to help the team with my experience and quality. That’s exactly what I want to show the fans.”
Sporting director Marc Wilmots added: "Christopher’s style of play and his personality are a good fit for our team. His pace and agility will help add more options to our game. He will also be able to help us with the experience that he brings to the table, both on and off the pitch. Christopher is eager to join us in taking up this new, special task of helping Schalke to continue moving forward.”
Antwi-Adjei has so far been cap-tied three times by Ghana at the men's senior national team level, the Black Stars.
