The Scottish elite division side have announced the signing of the Ghanaian youngster ahead of the upcoming campaign

Ghana-prospect midfield enforcer Malachi Boateng has joined Scottish Premiership outfit Heart of Midlothian FC on a three-year deal from Crystal Palace, the club have confirmed.

Those in charge of the Tynecastle Park have said their deal with the 22-year-old remains undisclosed as it runs until 2027.

"Steven Naismith has bolstered his midfield ranks with the addition of Malachi Boateng," an excerpt of statement over his signing read.

"The 22-year-old joins the Jambos for an undisclosed fee from English Premier League side Crystal Palace, penning a three-year deal."

Club's gaffer Steven Naismith expressed his joy over the capturing of the former Queen's Park loanee as he remains his big admirer over the past years, telling his club's official website:" I’m pleased we’ve been able to get the deal done and bring Malachi in."

“We’ve done the bulk of our recruitment early but we’re always assessing our differing requirements, and with a couple of players out through injury it’s pushed us to act swiftly."

“In Malachi we’ve got a strong, athletic, ball-winning and ball-playing midfielder. He’s also somebody who has good knowledge of Scottish football through his loan spells here."

“He’ll fit in well to our dressing room, I’m sure, and I’m looking forward to working with him as we focus on starting the season positively."

Given his Ghanaian parentage, he still remains eligible to represent Ghana at the international level.
