The centre-forward of Ghanaian origin has completed his move to the Portuguese second division side as he is set to spent time with the U23 team for the 2025-26 campaign
Liga Portugal 2 club Marítimo have announced the signing of talian-born Ghanaian forward Sidney Powell Osei on a two-year contract.
The 21-year-old frontman is teaming up with the Estádio do Marítimo campaigners on a free transfer deal after leaving third division club Trofense this summer.
A club's statement over the signing of the former Vejle BK U19 youth star read: ''Sidney Osei is the latest addition to Marítimo U-23, with a contract valid until 2027.The 20-year-old forward, who represented Trofense last season, now returns to Madeira, after wearing the green and red jersey in the 2022/23 season.''
Osei could quickly be drafted into the senior ranks of his side if his performances catch the eyes of the man in charge of the dugout at the Estádio do Marítimo if he kick-starts his career with the U23 side in the upcoming season.
Born to Ghanaian parents in Udinese, the towering striker still remains eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage.
