The striker of Ghanaian parentage has completed his transfer switch to the English second tier side from the American top-flight outfit this summer
USA-born Ghanaian forward Patrick Agyemang has joined Championship club Derby County from Major League Soccer (MLS) side Charlotte FC on a four-year contract, the club have confirmed.
The 24-year-old has finally sealed his long-awaited transfer move to the Derby-based club following weeks of extensive negotiations between both parties in this current transfer market.
An excerpt of official statement over the signing of the towering striker read via the club's website: ''Derby County have completed the signing of United States international striker Patrick Agyemang. The 24-year-old joins from Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC for an undisclosed fee on a four-year contract until 2029. He becomes the club’s fifth signing of the summer as Head Coach John Eustace continues to prepare his squad for the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship season.''
Before joing the English outfit this summer, Agyemang figured in 18 games by netting 8 times and assisting 2 for Charlotte FC across all competitions in the MLS 2025 football season.
He remains unfit to play for Ghana on the international stage after being cap-tied by the United States Men's National Soccer Team.
