Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has visited Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini to show support following the striker’s recent ankle surgery.
Fuseini, who features for Belgian champions Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, sustained the injury earlier this season and has been sidelined since. The setback came shortly after he impressed for Ghana, scoring in the Unity Cup against Trinidad & Tobago in May, a performance that underlined his growing importance to the national team.
The injury forced him to miss Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Mali in June. The Black Stars drew 1-1 with Chad before defeating Mali 1-0 in Accra.
At club level, Fuseini has managed just two appearances this campaign and was unavailable for Union Saint-Gilloise’s UEFA Champions League opener against PSV Eindhoven. His teammates, however, marked their debut in the group stage with a historic 3-1 victory at the Philips Stadion.
The 21-year-old was a standout performer last season, playing a crucial role in Union Saint-Gilloise’s run to their first Belgian league title in 90 years, a triumph that secured their return to Europe’s top competition.
