Defender Patric Pfeiffer has decided that he won't be at FC Augsburg next season, with the German-born Ghanaian likely to be sold or sent on loan.
After a mixed start to life in Bavaria, the Bundesliga club have decided that Pfeiffer will be at the club next season, but according to multiple reports in the German press. Although the club initially suggested that they might allow him to leave on loan, Pfeiffer has insisted that he will refuse a loan deal and only accept a permanent transfer.
Pfeiffer, joined Augsburg from SV Darmstadt 98 on a four-year deal in July 2023, struggled for game time, making just nine appearances for the Fuggerstädter.
The 24-year-old has been tormented by injuries as he has been unable to find his feet in the team.
Pfeiffer transfer talk comes at the end of a turbulent first season as a defensive corp for Augsburg.
The Ghanaian's future seems to be up in the air. It appears that could be on his way out as he's bent on joining a club who will assure him of game time for him to show what he's got.
