After the final international break of the year, Ghanaian internationals plying their trades abroad returned into action for their various clubs in Europe and this is how some of them fared over the weekend. 

ENGLAND

We begin this week's edition with Jordan Ayew who netted his 40th Premier League goal during the weekend but wasn't enough for Leicester City in their 1-2 home loss to Chelsea at the King Power Stadium.

At the Emirates Stadium, Thomas Partey scored in just six minutes into his introduction in Arsenal's emphatic 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest last Saturday afternoon

Antoine Semenyo lasted the entire duration for AFC Bournemouth in their emphatic 1-2 home loss to Brighton. Tariq Lamptey was off for the visitors due to injury. 

Kamaldeen Sulemana was an unused substitute for Southampton in their 2-3 home loss to Liverpool at the St Mary's Stadium.

Brendan Thomas-Asante was on target for Coventry City who got held at home by Sheffield United to a pulsating 2-2 in the English Championship.

Forson Amankwah played 64 minutes for Norwich City who picked up an important 2-2 away draw at West Brom.

Daniel Adjei lasted the entire duration for Leyton Orient in their goalless draw against Stevenage in the League 1.

Kwame Poku enjoyed full throttle to power Peterborough United to a 1-2 home defeat to Reading.

Jojo Wollacott kept a clean sheet for Crawley Town who secured a vital 1-0 home win over Rotherham United.

In the League 2, Albert Adomah was a second half substitute for Walsall who snatched a 0-1 away win at AFC Wimbledon.

SPAIN

Celta Vigo scored two late goals to hold league leaders FC Barcelona to an entertaining 2-2 draw in the La Liga over the weekend at the Abanca Balaidos. Joseph Aidoo was an unused substitute for the hosts.

Abdul Mumin enjoyed full throttle for Rayo Vallacano who lost 1-0 away at Sevilla with ten men.

Inaki Williams played 77 minutes for Athletic Bilbao who picked a vital 1-0 home win over Real Sociedad at the Estadio San Mamerse.

In the La Liga II, Iddrisu Baba Mohammed spent full time to help UD Almeria beat FC Cartagena by 1-2.

GERMANY 

Sirlord Conteh was a second half substitute for Heidenheim who gave away a two-goal lead to lose 5-2 away at champions Bayer Leverkusen.

Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer found the back of the net to make his sixth of the campaign in Hamburger SV's 2-2 draw against Shalke O4. Anton Donkor was a second half substitute for the visitors.

In the Bundesliga II, Ragnar Ache scored and assisted to help Kaiserslautern defeat Eintracht Braunschweig by 3-2. 

ITALY

Ibrahim Sulemana warmed the bench for Atalanta BC who won 1-3 away at AS Parma.

Juventus Next Generation suffered a 2-1 away defeat against Crotone Calcio. Felix Afena-Gyan was not in the travellers matchday squad while Augusto Owusu played 70 minutes in the game.

FRANCE

Augustine Boakye enjoyed 65 minutes of action to help Saint Etienne narrowly beat Montpellier by 1-0 in the Ligue 1.

Ernest Nuamah lasted 68 minutes for Olympique Lyon who got held by Stade Reims to a pulsating 1-1 stalemate.

Mohammed Salisu returned from injury to help AS Monaco defeat Brest by 3-2 at the Stade Louis II.

Alidu Seidu sustained an injury and played only 18 minutes for Stade Rennais who lost 1-0 away at Lille.

Andre Ayew spent 71 minutes for Le Havre in their 0-2 away win over FC Nantes. His compatriot Emmanuel Sabbi played 61 minutes in the game.

Both Gideon Mensah and Elisha Owusu lasted the entire duration for AJ Auxurre in their slim 1-0 win over Angers.

In Ligue 2, Godson Kyeremeh lasted 65 minutes for Caen in their 3-3 draw against Rodez.

HOLLAND

Ibrahim Osman was not in action for Feyenoord due to injury in their emphatic 3-0 home win over SC Heerenveen. 

Ernest Opoku made a cameo appearance for AZ Alkmaar in their 1-2 away win over Sparta Rotterdam. Ibrahim Sadiq wasn't in the squad because of injury.

TURKEY

Prince Obeng Ampem played 71 minutes for Eyupspor in their 1-2 home loss against Rizespor in the Turkish topflight.

Gaziantep FK humbled Istanbul Basaksehir by 3-0. Stalwart center-back Jerome Opoku played all minutes for the losing side. 

Alexander Djiku unfortunately scored an own goal in Fenerbahçe's emphatic 2-6 away win over Kayserispor. Yaw Ackah warmed the bench for the hosts while Joseph Attamah Larweh was not in the squad for the homesters.

Nicholas Opoku played all minutes for Kasimpasa who played a goalless draw against Sivasspor. 

Kingsley Schindler came on in the last sixteen minutes for Samsunspor in their 1-1 draw against Alanyaspor.

SCOTLAND

Former Bechem United and Black Meteors star Aaron Essel was a second half substitute for St Johnstone in their 1-0 win against Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premiership.

BELGIUM

Both Abu Francis and Lawrence Agyekum were in action for Cercle Brugge who suffered a painful 1-0 away defeat at Standard Liege in the Jupiler Pro League.

Christopher Bonsu Baah enjoyed 85 minutes of action for Genk in their emphatic 3-0 home win over Sporting Charleroi.

Desmond Acquah was a second half substitute for FCV Dender who recorded a 1-1 draw away at Royal Antwerp.

Mohammed Fuseini played 25 minutes for Union Saint-Gilloise in their thrilling 1-1 draw against OH Leuven.

In the Belgian Challenger Pro League, goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen was in goal for KAS Eupen in their emphatic 0-4 away win over Club NXT U23. 

SWITZERLAND

Asumah Abubakar-Ankrah made a cameo appearance for FC Grasshopper who held Winterthur to a 1-1 draw. 

Tyron Owusu featured for Luzern who also frustrated champions FC Young Boys to a 1-1 stalemate.

Former Hearts of Oak star Daniel Afriyie Barnieh was an unused substitute for FC Zurich in their 4-1 away loss at Lugano. 

Jonas Adjei Adjetey watched on from the bench for FC Basel who defeated Servette by 3-1. Kassim Adams also warmed the bench for the visitors.

Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi was in goal for FC ST Gallen in their goalless draw against Yverdon.

CZECH REPUBLIC 

Patrick Kpozo warmed the bench for Banik Ostrava who lost 3-1 against Jablonec in the Czech topflight.

AUSTRIA

Ibrahim Mustapha's LASK picked a vital 1-2 away win over giants Red Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga. Edmund Baidoo wasn't in the squad for the hosts.

Solomon Bonnah played a part in Austria Klagenfurt's embarrassing 7-0 away loss at Sturm Graz.

Paul Mensah warmed the bench for BW Linz who lost 1-2 away at Grazer AK.

Eric Ofori Agyemang was on target for Wolfsberger AC in their emphatic 2-0 home win over SCR Altach.

GREECE

Baba Rahman scored in just ten minutes into his introduction to help PAOK FC beat Asteras Tripolis by 1-2 in the Greek Super League.

ROMANIA

Nana Kwame Antwi lasted the entire minutes for Hermannstadt in their 2-1 victory against Universitatea Cluj in the Romanian topflight.

Baba Alhassan wasn't in action for Steaua Bucuresti who won 3-0 against FC Unirea.

CYPRUS

Former Benab FC midfielder Alex Opoku Sarfo flourished in Aris Limassol's emphatic 0-3 away win at AEL in the Cypriot topflight.

David Abagna enjoyed full throttle for APOEL Nicosia who lost 2-1 against league leaders Pafos. 

MOLDOVA

Rashid Abubakar scored but wasn't enough for Spartanii Selemet in their 1-3 home win over Zimbru in the Moldovan Super Liga. 

USA

Joseph Paintsil scored twice and registered an assist to help LA Galaxy trounce Minnesota United by 6-2 to cruise into the MLS Western Conference final. Kelvin Yeboah also got the two consolation goals for the visitors.
