Ghanaian international were once again in action over the weekend for their various clubs and here is how they all fared for their various clubs over the weekend. 

ENGLAND

Manchester City forward Antoine Semenyo continued his outstanding form, scoring his 14th league goal of the campaign to seal a 0-1 away victory over Leeds United in the Premier League.

In the Championship, Patrick Agyemang enjoyed full-time action for Derby County as they secured a narrow 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.

Leicester City suffered a 0-2 home defeat to Norwich City, with Fatawu Issahaku playing the full match, while Jordan Ayew came on for the Foxes. Forson Amankwah missed the game for Norwich due to injury.

At Fratton Park, Darko Gyebi remained sidelined with injury as Hull City earned an important 0-1 away win over Portsmouth.

In Coventry City’s 2-1 victory over Stoke City, both Brandon Thomas-Asante and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi came off the bench to feature for their respective sides.

Sheffield Wednesday fell 1-3 to Southampton, with Ghanaian youngster Joshua Quarshie remaining an unused substitute for the Saints.

At Ashton Gate, James Abankwah lasted the full duration for Watford in their impressive 1-2 away win over Bristol City, while Kwadwo Baah was not named in the squad.

In League One, Jordi Osei-Tutu played the entire game for Bolton Wanderers as they cruised to a dominant 1-5 win over Exeter City.

Andy Yiadom came on in the second half to help Reading secure a 2-1 home victory over Bradford City in League One action.

Elsewhere, Malachi Boateng played full-time for Plymouth Argyle but could not prevent their 1-0 defeat to Rotherham United.

In League Two, veteran winger Albert Adomah made a 69th-minute appearance for Walsall as they earned a 1-2 away win over Shrewsbury Town.

Finally, goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott warmed the bench for Crawley Town in their 2-0 defeat to Oldham Athletic.

SPAIN 

In La Liga, Inaki Williams continued to influence Athletic Club’s campaign after scoring his second league goal of the season in their 1-1 draw away at Rayo Vallecano.

At the Estadio Carlos Tartiere, Kwesi Sibo played the full game for Real Oviedo, though they fell 0-1 to visitors Atletico Madrid.

Joseph Aidoo featured for the entire duration as Celta Vigo secured a hard-earned 1-2 away victory over Girona.

At the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, Barcelona powered to a 4-1 win against Villarreal, where Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey was an unused substitute.

In the Segunda División, Obeng Gyabaa appeared in the second half for Albacete during their 1-1 draw with UD Almeria, while compatriot Iddrisu Baba was introduced in the 41st minute.

There was further Ghanaian involvement in Granada’s 0-1 defeat to Malaga, with youngster Oscar Naasei Oppong playing 67 minutes for Granada.

At the José Zorrilla, Michael Agbekpornu remained on the bench as SD Huesca fell to a narrow 1-0 loss away to Real Valladolid. 

GERMANY

Nikolas Nartey found the net for VfB Stuttgart in their convincing 4-0 win over VfL Wolfsburg, while Jonas Adjei Adjetey made a substitute appearance for the visiting side.

Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer featured for 69 minutes for Hamburger SV but could not help them avoid a 1-2 home defeat to RB Leipzig.

Ragnar Ache played the full match for FC Cologne, though his side fell 2-0 away to Augsburg.

At the BayArena, Quansah struck a late equaliser for Bayer Leverkusen in their 1-1 draw with Mainz 05, with Ernest Poku also playing 59 minutes for the home team.

Derrick Kohn and Ilyas Ansah were both involved for Union Berlin, but they suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Sirlord Conteh remained unused for Heidenheim as they lost 2-0 to Werder Bremen.

Kofi Amoako lasted 56 minutes for Dynamo Dresden in their 3-1 victory over Darmstadt, a match in which Patric Pfeiffer was shown a red card for the visitors.

Benjamin Boakye made a late cameo for Arminia Bielefeld in their 0-1 home defeat to Hannover 96.

Aaron Opoku clocked 73 minutes for Eintracht Braunschweig but could not prevent a 1-2 loss to Preußen Münster.

Richmond Tachie played 57 minutes for Magdeburg in their 1-3 home defeat to Karlsruher SC.

ITALY

Inter Milan forward Caleb Ekuban featured for 60 minutes but could not help Genoa avoid a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Inter Milan at San Siro.

In Serie A, Ibrahim Sulemana impressed with 87 minutes of action for Cagliari Calcio as they battled to a 1-1 draw away to Parma.

At the Mapei Stadium, Kamaldeen Sulemana played 45 minutes for Atalanta, though they fell 2-1 to hosts Sassuolo.

In Serie B action, Emmanuel Gyasi remained on the bench for Palermo as they suffered a 2-1 away defeat to US Pescara. 

FRANCE 

Alidu Seidu watched from the bench as Stade Rennais edged Toulouse 1-0 in a tight Ligue 1 encounter.

At the Stade Charléty, Kojo Peprah Oppong completed the full match for Paris FC in their narrow 1-0 win over OGC Nice, while Salis Abdul Samed remained an unused substitute.

In Lorient, Nathaniel Adjei stayed on the bench for FC Lorient, as their clash with AJ Auxerre ended 2-2. The visitors, however, had both Elisha Owusu and Gideon Mensah featuring in the draw.

Elsewhere, Terry Yegbe remained on the bench for Metz as they suffered a narrow 1-0 home defeat to Brest.

In Ligue 2, Augustine Boakye delivered a standout performance, registering two assists for St Etienne in their convincing 3-0 away victory over Pau FC.

NETHERLANDS 

In the Eredivisie, Tyrone Owusu was involved for Telstar as they cruised to an impressive 3-0 victory over NAC Breda, with veterans Andre Ayew and Sowah featuring for the visitors.

Elsewhere, Jayden Oduro was in action for AZ Alkmaar in their 2-0 defeat to FC Utrecht, while Ibrahim Sadiq remained on the bench for the away side. 

TURKEY 

Jerome Opoku lasted all minutes for Istanbul Basaksehir in their 2-0 home victory over Konyaspor 

Godfried Frimpong enjoyed full throttle for Kasimpasa but wasn’t enough to rescue them from a 0-3 home loss to Rizespor. Nicholas Opoku was an unused substitute for the hosts 

Musah Mohammed lasted 14 minutes for Goztepe in their goalless draw against Eyupspor. Prince Obeng Ampem wasn’t in the squad. 

PORTUGAL 

Nelson Abbey was a second half substitute for Rio Ave in their goalless draw against Famalicao 

BELGIUM 

In the Jupiler Pro League, Joseph Opoku provided his fourth assist but wasn’t enough as his club Zulte Waregem lost 2-1 away at KV Mechelen. 

Davis Opoku came in 41st minute for OH Leuven in their huge 5-1 loss away at giants RSC Anderlecht. 

Both Jerry Afriyie and Majeed Ashimeru were all not in Raal La Louviere squad in their 1-1 away draw at Standard Liege due to unknown reasons 

Mohammed Gadafi Fuseini played 88 minutes for Union St. Gilloise in their goalless draw away at Westerlo. 

Lawrence Agyekum lasted the entire duration for Cercle Brugge in their 0-0 draw against FCV Dender. 

SWITZERLAND 

Goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi was in goal for FC ST Gallen in their 2-1 win over Winterthur. 

Tyrone Owusu played all minutes for Luzern in their 2-1 away defeat over Thun. 

CZECH REPUBLIC 

In the 1st Ligue, Cletus Nombil lasted the entire duration for FC Zilina in their emphatic 3-0 win over Viktoria Plzen. Prince Kwabena Adu played 65 minutes for the away side. 

Benjamin Nyarko was an unused substitute for Teplice in their pulsating 1-1 draw against Pardubice. 

GREECE

Baba Abdul Rahman was an unused substitute for PAOK in their 2-0 home win over Asteras Tripolis. 

CYPRUS

David Abagna came off the bench to score in APOEL Nicosia’s 2-3 away win over AEL Limassol in the 1st Division. 

Emmanuel Lomotey played all minutes for Ethnikos Achnas in their 0-1 home loss to Omonia Aradippou.

In the Saudi Pro League, Christopher Bonsu Baah enjoyed full throttle for Al Qadsiah who were held to a 1-1 draw by Al Taawoun.
