Former England international Glenn Johnson has highlighted Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo as an ideal signing for top Premier League clubs reportedly interested in his services.
The Bournemouth striker has been linked in recent weeks with clubs such as Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, and struggling Newcastle United.
Johnson, who spent 16 years in the English top flight with stints at West Ham, Chelsea, Portsmouth, Liverpool, and Stoke City, emphasised Semenyo's rare flair and confidence, highlighting his contributions to Bournemouth this season and suggesting that he could attract interest from bigger clubs.
“Players with that amount of flair and confidence don’t come around often," he told Betfred in a recent interview.
"He’s got a few goals and assists already this season for Bournemouth, so absolutely he can play at a higher level. Players raise their game a level when they’re playing with better players, so it wouldn’t surprise me if one of the big clubs snaps him up soon," he concluded.
Semenyo has made eight Premier League appearances for the Cherries, scoring three goals and registering one assist, while averaging 87 minutes per game.
