Ghanaian teenager Prince Amoako Junior emerged as the match-winner for FC Nordsjaelland on Sunday, netting the decisive goal in a hard-fought 1-0 victory over FC Midtjylland in the Danish Superliga.

The 18-year-old forward led the line for Nordsjaelland in the Week 8 encounter and wasted little time making an impact. Just eight minutes into the contest, Amoako Junior used his blistering pace to break into the Midtjylland penalty area, outwitted his marker with neat footwork, and calmly slotted the ball into the net.

His early strike proved to be the difference, as Nordsjaelland held firm for the remainder of the match to secure all three points at the Right to Dream Park.

Amoako Junior lasted 88 minutes before being replaced by fellow Ghanaian youngster Stephen Acquah. The teenager’s goal continues his bright start to the season, bringing his tally to four goals and one assist in eight league appearances.

Meanwhile, Black Stars midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi also featured prominently, completing the full 90 minutes and playing a key role in midfield as Nordsjaelland earned their fourth win of the campaign.
