RC Lens manager Franck Haise has confirmed that Ghana international Abdul Samed Salis picked up an ankle injury during Saturday's French Ligue 1 game against Paris Saint-Germain.

The 23-year-old was forced off after lasting only 45 minutes of the game and was subsequently replaced by Stijn Spierings.

Haise in an interview after the game disclosed that the former Clermont FL midfielder had a sprained ankle during the fixture at the Parc des Princes.

 "For him [Salis Abdul Samed], there is has a sprain yes. I don't know the gravity yet, but I know it comes from the action on the first base,” Haise said in an interview monitored by Kickgh.com

The workaholic midfielder is on the verge of missing RC Lens' next Ligue 1 game against AS Monaco on September 2 and Ghana's final game of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Central African Republic on September 7 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

Samed Salis has featured in all the three Ligue 1 matches for RC Lens this season so far.
