Ghana midfielder Salis Abdul Samed has sustained a sprained ankle in RC Lens' away defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Abdul Samed, who has been a key performer of RC Lens, lasted for only 45 minutes in the game his side lost 3-1 to the French champions. He was replaced by Stijn Spierings.
The 23-year-old, who was handed starting berth at the Parc des Princes, tearfully forced off after the playing entire duration of the first half of the game.
His latest ankle injury spark fears among RC Lens which could ruled him out of their next Ligue 1 game against AS Monaco on September 2.
RC Lens manager Franck Haise confirmed to the media after the game that the Ghana international indeed suffered an ankle sprain, and he will go for further assessment in the coming days.
"For him [Salis Abdul Samed], there is has a sprain yes. I don't know the gravity yet, but I know it comes from the action on the first base,” Haise said in an interview monitored by Kickgh.com
In the same fixture, RC Lens dealt another injury blow in their midfielder when Przemyslaw Frankowski also went down to be withdrawn just a minute after Abdul Samed Salis exit.
Samed Salis has made three appearances for RC Lens in the French Ligue 1 this season so far.
