French top-flight league side RC Lens have shown interest in securing the signature of Ghana winger Kamaldeen Sulemana on loan until the end of the 2024-25 season.
The Ligue 1 club has been at the centre of transfer related moves recently after selling Uzbekistan defender Abdukodir Khusanov to Manchester City and reportedly in negotiations with teams over the sale of Kevin Danso and Diego Lopez.
The 22-year-old, who at the time of writing is dealing with a hamstring strain that forced him to miss Southampton’s 3-1 loss to Newcastle United, has history competing in the French elite division.
Prior to moving to Southampton in the January transfer window of the 2022-2023 season, Sulemana played for Ligue 1 side Stade Rennes.
Sulemana’s name has been in transfer talks linking him away from the club as he continues to struggle with injuries and form.
In 14 games in all competitions, Sulemana has a goal and two assists but has played better since Ivan Juric took over as Southampton’s manager from Russell Martin.
