Inform Ghanaian striker, Brandon Thomas-Asante was once again in the thick of things for Coventry City 1-2 away win at Portsmouth in a crunchy round 11 midweek action of the English Championship. 

The 26-year-old excelled once more with a full time action once again having netted in both halves to earn all three points for the Sky Blues at the Fratton Park. 

After what was a very tough game at Fratton Park, Thomas-Asante scored in the 30th minute to break the deadlock in the game and held onto it till half-time. 

The Black Stars forward bounced back stronger once again with a goal in just eleven minutes in the second half to double his side’s lead to seal the win with the homesters pulling one back through Makenzie Kirk. 

Thomas Asante now has eleven-goal involvements this season and has become first Ghanaian to reach 7+ goals in their first 11 Championship games since Patrick Agyemang did in 2017. 

Coventry City have now opened a four-point at the summit of the English second-tier and will host Watford in the next round of matches.
