Bosnia and Herzegovina Premier League side Sloga Doboj have made striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom their latest signing of the January transfer window.




Yiadom, who arrives in Bosnia with lots of experience, has joined on a free transfer which his sign-on-fee is believed to be hefty.



The Wwin League of Bosnia strugglers' who are sitting 9th on the league log have been keen to add to their attacking options having managed only 16 goals from 14 league games this season.



Yiadom has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract at the northern Republika Srpska Luke Stadium and is eligible to make his debut as he completed his first training session on Monday, January 20th.



"I want to focus on this club and its goals. I’m here for my team," Yiadom told Sloga's website at his unveiling.



Sloga chairman Miroslav Kršić said he had been "monitoring" Boakye Yiadom "for a while", saying he's a strong, powerful marksman who can hold the ball up and bring people into play, but he's also very good at getting beyond the opposition by making well-timed, intelligent runs.



The 31-year-old who made his Ghana debut in August 2012, has scored 7 times in 19 International appearances.



He started his career in Ghana with Bechem United before joining lower side DC United. In 2008, he then left Ghana to play Italy where he joined Genoa C.F.C's youth side in the Campionato Nazionale Primavera.



Yiadom went on to play in the Netherlands, Serbia, China, Poland, Israel and Greece, before joining Libya side Al-Akhdar.



In June, 2023, Boakye Yiadom joined Malaysia giants Selangor FC on a six-month contract.
