The 24-year-old delivered a standout performance in the round 18 of the Latvia Virsliga, bossing the midfield and showing his attacking instincts with two well-taken goals that helped Riga cruise past city rivals RFS in a commanding display.
The former Parma youth star has quickly become a fan favourite, known for his tireless work rate, sharp passing, and newfound goal threat as he continues to prove he’s more than ready for the European stage.
With performances like this, Ahmed Awua Ankrah isn’t just thriving, he’s announcing himself and sending signals to the top tier clubs in mainstream Europe.
Having played the full 90 minutes in 17 of the past 18 league games, the Ghanaian continues to prove his value to the team. He also scored in a recent exhibition match against FC Porto in Portugal.
The victory allowed Riga FC to widen their advantage at the summit of the table to five points ahead of second-placed RFS, strengthening their hold on the title chase.
