English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly launching a bid to acquire the signature of Ghana international Mohammed Kudus from rivals West Ham United in this summer transfer window.
Kudus, who has a contract with the Hammers until the summer of 2028, has been linked with a move from the London-based outfit in the ongoing transfer window.
It is believed that West Ham United are open to selling the 24-year-old talismanic attacker to any club that will meet his release clause of £85 million.
However, according to English tabloid The Guardian, Tottenham Hotspur have decided to test the waters by tabling an offer of £50 million to land the former Ajax forward.
Interestingly, West Ham and Spurs have not done business together for 14 years, with the last deals being David Bentley, on loan from Spurs to the Hammers, and Scott Parker, both back in 2011.
No business has been conducted between the two London-based sides since Spurs owner Daniel Levy pulled the plug on a West Ham deal for Emmanuel Adebayor in 2015.
Kudus is a hot cake for top clubs in Europe
Following his explosive performances at West Ham United since arriving at the club in 2023, he has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, including Chelsea, Newcastle United, Atletico Madrid, and others.
Kudus Mohammed has scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists in his 80 appearances for West Ham United in all competitions.
