The talented teenage sensation of Ghanaian heritage has expressed his profound gratitude to the BayArena campaigners hierarchy after handling him his first official deal as an academy graduate
German-born Ghanaian teen Jeremiah Mensah says ''it makes him so proud'' to have signed his first professional contract with Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen.
The 18-year-old, who joined up with Die Werkself at a very tender age of 7, was handed a long-term deal that is set to take him through to 2031 by those managing the administrative affairs of the club earlier today (Monday 20).

The talented budding nimble left-footed star was believed to have courted interest from suitors across Europe ahead of the summer transfer window - a situation that has prompted his boyhood club to act swiftly by tying him down to a long-term contract in securing his promising future.
Speaking to his club's official website, the Ghana-prospect midfielder expressed his delight at penning his first professional contract given his determination to stay resolute by learning from his experienced team-mates so as to keep improving on his promising career as a youngster.

He said: ''Getting to sign a long-term professional contract at this super club makes me so proud. I’ll try to remain alert, learn from the many top players and keep improving.''
Mensah has so far taken in 28 appearances by racking up 8 goals and setting up another 1 for Bayer Leverkusen across all contests in this current football season.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the evergreen midfielder remains fit to play for Ghana national football team at the international level after featuring for the Germany national youth teams.
