The Black Stars attacking midfielder has been ruled out of the 2022/23 season's campaign.
German Bundesliga outfit SC Freiburg have announced that Daniel Kofi Kyereh will not been available for action for the remainder of the season due to Cruciate Ligament injury.
Kofi Kyereh sustained an injury which has forced him out of the season after an earlier scan by the SC Freiburg medical team.
“Kofi Kyereh tore his cruciate ligament in training and will be out for the rest of the season.” the club's official statement reads.
“In Thursday's training, Kofi Kyereh twisted his knee in a duel. An examination in the Freiburg University Hospital resulted in the diagnosis of a cruciate ligament rupture. An operation is to follow in the next few days. The attacking player will no longer be available this season.”
Kofi Kyereh joined SC Freiburg from Bundesliga II side St. Pauli during the last summer transfer window.
