Ghanaian forward Samuel Obeng made an immediate impact off the bench, scoring a crucial goal as Albacete Balompié secured an emphatic 4-1 victory over Granada CF at the Estadio Carlos Belmonte.
Introduced in the 70th minute, Obeng wasted no time announcing himself, finding the net within seconds of coming on. The striker latched onto a well-weighted pass from Lorenzo Aguado before calmly finishing past goalkeeper Luca Zidane to restore his side’s two-goal advantage at 3-1.
Albacete had earlier stamped their authority on the match with quickfire goals from Jonathan Gómez and Lluís López inside the opening 15 minutes. However, Granada briefly threatened a comeback when Gonzalo Petit pulled one back shortly after the hour mark, putting pressure on Rubén Albés’ side.
Obeng’s composed finish proved decisive, halting Granada’s momentum and restoring control for the hosts. José Carlos Lazo later added a fourth goal following a clever cut-back from Carlos Neva to complete a convincing win.
The goal continues a steady 2025/26 campaign for Obeng, who has now featured in 22 LaLiga2 matches, scoring four goals so far this season.
Buoyed by this commanding performance, Albacete will now shift focus to their next league challenge, where they are set to host Eibar in another important LaLiga2 fixture.
