German Bundesliga side SC Freiburg were among the clubs in attendance last weekend to monitor highly-rated Ghanaian teenager Prince Amoako Junior, who continues to impress in Denmark.
The 18-year-old winger delivered another standout performance for FC Nordsjælland, scoring his seventh league goal of the season in a 2-1 victory over Viborg FF. His strike further capped an outstanding breakthrough campaign in the Danish Superliga.
Amoako has been one of the most exciting young talents in the league this season, registering seven goals and five assists while also leading the division in successful dribbles, with 51 completed so far—highlighting his flair, creativity, and attacking threat.
A product of the renowned Right to Dream Academy, Amoako is following in the footsteps of fellow Ghanaian stars Mohammed Kudus and Kamaldeen Sulemana, both of whom rose through similar pathways before making their mark in Europe.
His rapid development has not gone unnoticed, with several European clubs tracking his progress. Freiburg’s presence at his latest match underlines the growing interest in securing his signature.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching, Amoako is increasingly being tipped as a potential wildcard option for the Ghana national football team.
