The Arabian topflight powerhouse have announced the signing of the 20-year-old from Maltese side Swieqi United FC.
The towering goalkeeper inked a one-year loan contract with the Blue Waves after a successful medical and agreeing to personal terms.
Konlan’s galactic season with the Owls caught the eyes of Al Hilal who presented her with a juicy one-year loan offer.
The Ghanaian safest-pair-of-hands was a mainstay in goal last season, keeping a number of clean sheets as Swieqi United landed their first major trophy, the Assikura Women’s Knockout. Her performances also made a superb headway, landing her the individual accolade as the best goalkeeper in the MFPA Best XI.
"An Exciting Journey Ahead! Senior Women's goalkeeper, Konlan Cynthia, is embarking on a new adventure for Season 23/24 moving on Loan to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia!," Swieqi United announced.
"Cynthia, who has been an integral part of our team for a year, holds a special place in our hearts and around the club. Her contribution was vital in clinching the Knockout Competition title last season.
"As Cynthia sets off on this exciting new chapter, we send her our best wishes and endless support. We are confident that she will keep shining on the international stage. These are the opportunities we always wish for our players. Good luck, Cynthia!"
Konlan signing will improve the goalkeeping department of the Riyadh based women's team as they aim to clinch the 2023–24 Saudi Women's Premier League, after succumbing last season's title to Al-Naser by a whisker (3 points).
