Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo continued his impressive pre-season form with two assists as Manchester City defeated Atletico Madrid 3-1 in a preseason friendly at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
Semenyo set up both goals for Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush as City produced an impressive attacking display against the Spanish side.
Rayan Ait-Nouri scored City’s other goal, while 16-year-old Jorge Dominguez pulled one back for Atletico Madrid as both teams used the encounter to fine-tune their squads ahead of the new season.
The performance takes Semenyo’s pre-season tally to four assists in three matches, underlining his growing influence since joining City’s preparations for the new campaign.
The Ghanaian forward will now turn his attention to the start of competitive football, with Manchester City set to face Arsenal in the FA Community Shield on August 16.
