Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim has attracted interest from several clubs, according to Slovan Bratislava sporting director Ivan Kmotrík Jr.

The Slovakian club recently tied the 25-year-old down to a new contract that will keep him at Slovan Bratislava until 2030 after an agreement between both parties.

Kmotrík Jr revealed that Slovan had been keen on Ibrahim for some time, having attempted to bring him to the club during several previous transfer windows.

“If you remember, we tried to acquire Rahim Ibrahim in several transfer windows in the past, and time has shown that our efforts were meaningful,” the sporting director said.

He also disclosed that Ibrahim’s performances have generated interest outside the club, with Slovan receiving multiple offers for the midfielder in recent times. “At an excellent football age, he is one of the players who are interesting for foreign clubs thanks to his qualities,” he added.

The former Accra Lions player has enjoyed a strong campaign so far, featuring 13 times in all competitions and scoring two goals.

His performances have also earned him international recognition, with Ibrahim receiving a call-up to Ghana’s squad for the opening 2027 AFCON qualifiers.
