Per a report from the German press, the Allianz Arena outfit have secured the services of the Swedish-born Ghanaian teenager in today's ongoing winter transfer deadline window

Bundesliga superpowers FC Bayern Munich have signed Ghanaian youth star Jonah Kusi-Asare from Swedish Allsvanskan side AIK.

The 16-year-old is believed to have put pen to paper on a long-term contract as he would be drafted into to the youth team ranks to continue with his development as a promising budding star.

It has been claimed that the German record league champions coughed up a fee in excess of €5.3m before they were able to land the teenage sensation this winter having beat off competitions from PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea and Club Brugge for his signature.

Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund is quoted to have confirmed the signing of the 16-year-old by Fussballtransfer.com:

“Jonah Kusi-Asare is a young striker with enormous potential. He had a few offers, but he consciously chose FC Bayern because we were able to convince him how we wanted to build and develop him with us. He has all the requirements, is technically strong, fast, tall, physically very robust even at a young age and has an excellent goal finisher. We are very pleased that he will play for FC Bayern in the future.”

Kusi-Asare remains eligible to switch allegiance and represent Ghana on the international level despite playing for the Swedish U16 national youth team.
