Swedish-born forward of Ghanaian descent, Jonah Kusi-Asare, netted the decisive goal as Bayern Munich claimed a 2-1 friendly win over Grasshoppers on Tuesday evening at Letzigrund Stadion in Zurich.

Fielding a youthful starting XI packed with teenagers, the Bundesliga champions still dominated early proceedings. Bayern took the lead in the 20th minute when Lennart Karl converted a Tom Bischof assist.

Just six minutes later, Kusi-Asare capitalised on a fine chance to double the advantage, marking his second goal in as many matches.

Grasshoppers pulled one back through Loris Giandomenico in the second half, but the hosts were unable to break down Bayern’s resolute defence.

Kusi-Asare, 18, has been in sharp form during pre-season and is reportedly in line for a loan move this summer to secure regular first-team football and further his development.
