The English top-flight side have reportedly had their bid rejected by the German outfit for the services of the 24-year-old winger of Ghanaian heritage, with the Die Roten determined to keep hold of their starman beyond this winter window

Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart have turned down Premier League side Bournemouth bid for German-Ghanaian winger Jamie Leweling in this January transfer window, claimed a report from the German media.

With the Cherries set to lose their dependable Ghanaian winger Antoine Semenyo to league rivals Manchester City in a deal worth £65m this winter, the Dean Court outfit are now keen to replace their talismanic forward with his fellow compatriot in this current transfer market.

And now, per Sky Germany, Bournemouth were prepared to pay €40m to VfB Stuttgart for the former Union Berlin winger, but the German outfit were not ready to part ways with their prized asset for the second half of this ongoing season.

Leweling has so far proven to be a mainstay figure in the set-up of manager Sebastian Hoeneß this term having netted 4 times and assisted 7 in 24 games across all competitions in this current 2025/26 football season.

He remains unfit to represent Ghana on the international stage after playing for the Germany senior national team, with four caps to his name so far in his international career.
