The talented widesman of Ghanaian heritage has completed his transfer switch to the German second tier outfit in this ongoing winter transfer window
German-born Ghanaian youngster Raif Adam has joined 2. Bundesliga side SV Elversberg from top division club Hamburger SV on a three-year contract, the club have confirmed.
The 20-year-old winger is linking up with the URSAPHARM-Arena campaigners from the reserve side of the Die Rothosen following his splendid form in the Regionalliga Nord 25/26 football season.
A portion of a club statement confirming the signing of the former Hamburger youth star reads: ''Raif Adam has joined SV Elversberg, adding another attacking reinforcement to their squad. The 20-year-old winger joined the club during their winter training camp in Andalusia, transferring from Hamburger SV's reserve team. Adam has signed a long-term contract with Elversberg until the summer of 2029.''
The Ghana-prospect winger has told his club's official website: ''I am very excited about this new chapter at SV Elversberg. It feels like the right next step for me, and I know that I have the opportunity here to establish myself in a very good environment in the professional ranks. I will work hard for this, contribute to the best of my ability, and give it my all.”
Sporting director Ole Book added: ''Raif possesses excellent technical skills and is very assertive in one-on-one situations. He has shown in the Regionalliga that he can consistently deliver his qualities. We see the potential in him to perform at a higher level as well. We are therefore all the more excited to take the next steps with him at SV Elversberg.''
Before sealing his transfer move to his new employers, Adam featured in 21 games by netting 7 and assisted 6 in this current Regionalliga Nord 25/26 campaign.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Hamburg-born flanksman remains eligible to play for Ghana on the international stage.
