Dreams FC have been nominated in the CAF men's club of the year category alongside reigning CAF Champions League title holders Al Ahly, Zamalek, Simba SC, Young Africans SC, Mamelodi Sundowns, TP Mazembe, RS Berkane, Esperance de Tunis, and others.

2024 CAF Awards to be held in Marrakech, Morocco

This year’s awards recognize achievements from September 2023 to June 2024, culminating in the titles of CAF African Player of the Year for both women and men.

The African Football Confederation (CAF) announced today that the CAF Awards ceremony will take place in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 16.

This marks the third consecutive year that the North African nation will host the event, following successful editions in 2022 at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora and 2023 at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech.

The CAF Awards, often referred to as the African Ballon d’Or, have been celebrating the finest talents in African football since 2000.

The ceremony features multiple categories, including African Player of the Year, African Women’s Player of the Year, Youth Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Club of the Year.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year is Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen in the men’s category, while his compatriot Asisat Oshoala holds the title in the women’s category.

Nominees in all categories will be announced on CAF social media platforms.
