Nigeria coach Daniel Ogunmodede has said the Super Eagles B side are well-equipped to face the Black Galaxies of Ghana in their playoffs first-legged fixture of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ahead of the nerve-racking encounter, the Remo Stars FC manager is hopeful of securing a positive results against their continental sworn-rivals having suffered elimination in their hands two years ago.

''Considering the critical nature of this upcoming two-legged tie against Ghana, we have been working diligently and passionately in our preparation," he told Cafonline.

"We are focused on honing our strengths, addressing weaknesses, and strategizing specific tactics tailored to face Ghana's formidable team.

"The players have shown great commitment and dedication during training sessions, and we’re confident we are well-equipped to face the challenge head-on," he added.

The first leg is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday (22 December), with the second leg fixture on Saturday (28 December) at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Nigeria.

The winner of the two-legged affairs will secure a place in the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN) finals to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania next year.

The game has been scheduled to kick-start at 15:00 GMT.
