Swiss coach Nora Hauptle has signed a two-year contract with the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) after leaving her role as the head coach of Ghana's Black Queens, Kickgh.com can exclusively confirm.

Nora Hauptle, who is scheduled to be unveiled by Zambia next week, declined a contract extension offer from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to take up a new challenge at the Copper Queens of Zambia.

She was appointed as the head coach of the Black Queens in 2023 following the dismissal of Mercy Tagoe by the Ghana FA.

Before her appointment, the 41-year-old trainer was the technical advisor of the Ghana U20 female national team, the Black Princesses, during the 2022 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Costa Rica.

During her tenure as Black Queens head coach, she qualified the team for the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) along with winning the 2023 WAFU Zone B Women's Cup.

Nora Hauptle is expected to be announced by the Football Association of Zambia next week as the new head coach of the Copper Queens after the sacking of Bruce Mwape.
