Black Galaxies and Asante Kotoko forward Albert Amoah is optimistic about Ghana's chances of qualifying for the CHAN 2025 tournament ahead of their upcoming double-header against Nigeria.
He has urged Ghanaians to rally behind the team to ensure success.
The Black Galaxies will be aiming to replicate their previous triumph over Nigeria, whom they defeated on penalties two years ago to secure their place in the last CHAN tournament.
In an interview with the media, Amoah expressed confidence that Ghana has prepared well for the challenge and is ready to secure qualification.
“Considering how far we’ve come in terms of preparation, I believe Ghanaians should expect something positive from us,” Amoah said.
“We have really prepared well and are determined to make Ghanaians happy and reignite the love for football,” he added.
With high expectations for their performance, Amoah called on fans to show up in full support.
“I want the fans to show up in their numbers, and we will give them the victory they want,” he pledged.
Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, with the return fixture scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium.
