Black Princesses head coach, Yussif Basigi has stated he is so much motivated and ready so as his girls ahead of their 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup opener against Austria later today.

The Princesses will be making their seventh consecutive appearance at the world stage having sealed qualification earlier this year and are looking forward to crossing the group phase this time around.

The team has been in Colombia since mid August and have been training intensively for weeks now looking to get themselves well prepared for the upcoming task having already engaged in some highly-rated friendlies against Mexico and South Korea.

Speaking ahead of the game, the experienced trainer has revealed how the atmosphere is in their camp at the moment and feels he's given his girls all words of encouragement they need to prevail this evening. 

"I am highly motivated and I am calm because it is not every coach who gets the opportunity to be on the world stage. You need to utilize it well."

"I have made the girls understand that this might be the last opportunity for most of them to showcase their talents or a chance to play for the senior team. This is their chance to justify why they should be included."

The game against Austria is scheduled for 17:00GMT (5:00pm) at the El Techo Stadium in Colombia's capital, Bogotá.
