Ghana coach Otto Addo has made three additions to the Black Stars squad list for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations double-header against Sudan, Kickgh.com has reliably been informed.

The former Broussia Dortmund trainer announced a 25-man squad list for the all-important fixtures against the North African country on Friday, October 4, 2024 at the GFA headquarters in Accra.

However, three players namely Ibrahim Osman, Kingsley Schindler and Majeed Ashimeru have pulled out of the forthcoming AFCON Qualifiers against Sudan due to injuries.

The 45-year-old has handed an invitation to AZ Alkmaar winger Ibrahim Sadiq as replacement for Brighton and Hove Albion loanee Ibrahim Osman, who picked up a knock in Feyenoord game over the weekend.

Turkey-based defender Kingsley Schindler has also exclude himself from the games and he has been replaced by FC Basel defender Jonas Adjetey Adjei, who received his maiden Black Stars call-up for the matches against Angola and Niger.

 

Cercle Brugge midfielder Francis Abu has made a return to the team with a late call-up to replace Majeed Ashimeru, who will be unavailable for the double-header against Sudan.

 

The Black Stars officially commenced their training for the Sudan showdown at the Accra Sports Stadium today.

Ghana is set to face Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, October 10, before traveling to Libya for the second leg at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benina on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Otto Addo's side aim to secure one of the top two spots in Group F to qualify for the AFCON tournament, scheduled from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026 in Morocco.
