Ghana's Minister of Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams has admitted that the Black Stars need 'luck' to defeat their opponents in the remaining World Cup qualifying matches.
The Black Stars racked-up two consecutive wins in the qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar. Ghana thrashed Chad 5-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium before using Madagascar as 'chopping sticks' (3-0) in the 5th and 6th rounds of matches in the qualifying campaign.
The win against Chad and Madagascar helped Ghana to extend their lead at the top of Group I to 15 points, three above second-placed Comoros.
“We will need luck to win the rest of our games as the team hopes to win the remaining qualifying matches,” Adams told Asempa FM.
Ghana will slit-it-out with Chad and Mali in September before wrapping up the qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros.
