Ghana will stun Chad in their 2026 FIFA World qualifiers and earn back the trust of Ghanaians, according to Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee Dr. Randy Abbey.
The Black Stars, second in Group I, host Chad on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium as they seek to return to the top of the table.
With no points from four matches, the pressure is on Chad to respond with good results, and Abbey expressed confidence in the team’s quality.
Speaking with Original FM, the Heart of Lions FC owner said the Management Committee is “optimistic” of victory from the encounter.
“We, the Management Committee, have confidence in the team and we believe that we will win to regain the trust of Ghanaians."
Tonight, a win will push Black Stars closer to a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Also, it will be the very first match for the West African powerhouse this year, and their first game on home soil since Dec. 22, 2024.
