Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo is very optimistic they will create chances and get more goals due to the current state of the Accra Stadium pitch which is in a very good condition.

The enterprising gaffer has invited 23 players for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar - a game they are treating as a very must win encounter.

The four-time African champions have held four training sessions looking to get themselves adequately prepared and ready for the must-win game coming up.

The team has been motivated by many since they started their camping last Monday and President of the nation H.E. John Dramani Mahama visited them last Wednesday to encourage them to go in for nothing but all three points.

In a pre-match presser, the Borussia Dortmund trainer was very impressed with how the Ohene Gyan Stadium pitch is looking very good and smooth as he feels it will allow them play the king of game they are looking for.

"I'm very very happy that the pitch looks much better. This for me is the most important thing. I know maybe people who haven't played maybe don't think it's that important, but it's very important that we have a good pitch and is wet. And I think now we are really, really on a good path. And I know that we create a lot of chances and the goals will come."

The Black Stars will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium this Friday, March 21, before they take on Madagascar on March 24, 2025, in Al Hoceima, Morocco.
