Ghana coach Otto Addo has announced a strong starting line up for the Black Stars' game against Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers this evening.
Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been handed a starting berth to be in the sticks for the Black Stars, having received a maiden call-up to the senior national team this month.
Duo Alexander Djiku and Salisu Mohammed, who have been without the team due to injuries have returned to solidify the defence of the Black Stars.
Captain Jordan Ayew, who has been Ghana’s top scorer in the qualifiers with four goals, will charge with Antoine Semenyo, Ernest Nuamah, Inaki Williams and Mohammed Kudus.
With the team under pressure following their failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, anything short of a win at the Accra Sports Stadium tonight could spark further scrutiny from Ghanaians.
The game is scheduled to kickoff at 7:00 PM
